Charleston, South Carolina, is the site of DCP International’s next fractional residence club. Called The Residences on King, the club will be located in the current boutique hotel property, The Restoration on King, which has a AAA Four-Diamond rating. There is no word on when sales will start, and no website for the residence club yet. View the press release here.

Fractional Summit Europe took place in London at the end of February. According to FractionalTrade.com, it attracted numerous new developers from locations as diverse as Malta, the Philippines and Lithuania. A variety of sessions were held on topics that ranged from an introduction to fractionals to the current state of finance in the industry. The next summit, Fractional Summit USA, takes place in Denver in September.

The Fractional Summit USA event was held this fall in Miami. Experts on the “Ultimate Q&A” panel were asked to predict what lies ahead in the industry and they had some interesting responses, including:

• Short-term and finite ownership period products with a guaranteed exit strategy

• More on-resort technology to keep up with the modern consumer

• Increase in user-friendly environmental technology to appeal to green buyers
