Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney WorldFlorida’s Walt Disney World has announced that it has completed the sale of almost 300 acres of land to the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.  A hotel and golf course will be developed on the land that will anchor the new luxury resort as part of Walt Disney World Resort’s planned expansion.

The Four Seasons Resort is scheduled to open at Walt Disney World by 2012.  The overall project, however, will be built in phases over the next eight to ten years. When completed, it will include a 445-room Four Seasons hotel, a Residence Club consisting of fractional ownership vacation homes, an 18-hole championship golf course as well as custom single- and multi-family vacation homes.
