The Villas at Trapp Family Lodge Stowe, Vermont
|
| |
Dear Jill,
Happy Holidays! Welcome to another addition of our
spotlight newsletter. This week we're focusing on
the beautiful Villas at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe,
Vermont. I'm particularly pleased to tell you all
about this area because I was born and raised in
Vermont and still call it home. I've done some
consulting for the Trapp Family Lodge so I can say
first-hand what a great place it is. Their
facilities are lovely and their fractional project
is definitely one of the best values in the industry.

The Location |
|
|
|
|
The Green Mountains of Vermont are some of the most
beautiful in the world (I may be a bit biased, but
I've traveled the world over and I've rarely found a
place more lovely). It is a paradise for nature and
sport lovers, with endless opportunities for skiing,
hiking, biking, fishing, boating, snowshoeing, and
more. The mild summers, spectacular fall foliage and
snowy winters make it a joy to be outside almost any
time of year.
The town of Stowe lies in the northern part of the
state, at the foot of Vermont's highest mountain -
Mt. Mansfield. The Trapp Family Lodge sits on an
amazing 2,400 acres of land, so you always feel
surrounded by nature, despite the fact that it is
only 11 miles from Interstate 89 and just a short
drive down the road from the fine dining and
shopping that Stowe has to offer. Stowe is about 3
hours from Boston and Montreal, and 6 hours from New
York City. It's also less than an hour from
Burlington International Airport.

The Resort |
|
|
|
|
The Trapp Family Lodge is home to the first
cross-country ski center in the country, with 100
kilometers of trails suitable for every level of
skier or snowshoer. In warmer months, walkers and
hikers enjoy the solitude of the trails that wind
their way through meadows and woodlands. The resort
also features 2 outdoor swimming pools, 4 clay
tennis courts with a resident tennis pro, and 3
restaurants, as well as a new Fitness Center with a
heated indoor pool, state-of-the-art exercise
equipment, massage sanctuary and a climbing wall.
The resort welcomes children and has a "Mountain
Kids Club" with
activities for kids ages 3 to teens. Villa owners
also have golf privileges at the nearby Country Club
of Vermont in Waterbury.
If downhill skiing is your passion, Stowe Mountain
Resort is just 5 miles away. It's well-known for the
double-black diamond (most difficult) "Front Four"
trails, but also offers some of the longest
intermediate cruisers in the East, and many beginner
trails. With 333 inches of annual snowfall, 48
trails and
13 lifts, it offers something for everyone. In
addition, Smuggler's Notch, Mad River and Sugarbush
ski resorts are all within a 45 minute drive.

The Villas |
|
|
|
|
As you can see from the photos, the Villas are truly
lovely both inside and out. The light-suffused rooms
with soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and hardwood
floors evoke the sophistication of a European villa
and the magic of a Vermont retreat. They've really
taken the time to pay attention to details and make
these residences true homes.
Each Villa Features:
* Two richly appointed master suites with king beds,
and one guest room with two double beds
* Three and a half deluxe baths
* Magnificent great room with wood-burning fireplace
and state-of-the-art surround sound system
* Central air-conditioning
* The downstairs master suite features its own
private entrance, full bath, wood-burning fireplace,
mini-fridge and microwave. It has a "lock off"
feature which allows it to be used separate from the
main residence.

* Comfortable, handcrafted dining area

The Opportunity |
|
|
|
|
The Villas are offered as 1/12 fractional ownership,
which gives each owner 4 weeks.
Owners get to select two of these weeks in prime
time and they are "fixed", meaning you get the same
weeks every year! The other 2 weeks vary each year.
Ownership starts at just $126,000. Whole ownership
is also available starting at $1.35 million.
I feel that the Villas at Trapp Family Lodge offer
one of the best deals in the fractional industry.
The quality of the resort and residences, combined
with ability to get the same 2 weeks each year,
makes this an outstanding value. I strongly
encourage you to take advantage of the "Discovery"
package they are offering exclusively to LF Guide
subscribers. The package includes a 3-day, 2-night
stay on the property with a full breakfast each
morning and access to all resort facilities. Prices
are $199 for a mid-week stay and $249 on the
weekend. For more information about the package, as
well as a free DVD movie about the property, please
click the link below.
Warm Regards,
Sherman Potvin
