and Paris.
Their other destinations are: Abacos,
Bahamas; Candlewood Lake, CT; Jackson Hole,

Orlando, FL; Palm Beach, FL;
Park City, UT; Scottsdale, AZ; Steamboat
Springs, CO; Stowe, VT; and St. Thomas, USVI.
The portfolio provides a nice balance of US

Early this year UR made a major upgrade in
their membership options with the
introduction of Ultimate Resort ELITE. The
homes in the ELITE portfolio average $3.5
million dollars, compared to homes in the $2
million dollar range for the standard
Ultimate Resort membership. Almost all of
their destinations include homes at both
levels, though the ELITE level does offer a
few destinations that the standard level does
not, such as Paris and St. Thomas.
When you join UR you become a member of the
club with access to all of the club’s
destinations (this differs from fractional
ownership, where you usually own at one
specific property and will do most of your
vacationing there). You pay an initial
membership deposit plus an annual fee. UR
offers five different membership options for
both their ELITE and standard levels, based
on the number of days of planned vacation
available each year (ranging from 14 to 42
days). In addition to planned vacation, UR
also offers Space Available reservations
within 90-180 days (depending on your
membership level).
UR has a Membership Warranty that is unique
in the industry. It guarantees members’
investments by placing properties in a
Members Trust. Members can also redeem their
membership deposit for 80% of the then
current membership fee -- the “then current”
part is important because it means that as
membership fees rise, so does the value of
your deposit.

One of the areas where Destination Clubs tend
to stand out from fractional properties is
the size of the homes. UR is no exception.
They offer luxurious 3- to 5-bedroom homes
that typically range from 3,000 to 5,000
square feet. Club residences are spacious and
beautifully appointed. Homes feature chef’s
kitchens and spa-like bathrooms. Many also
offer private pools (such as the one at the
Los Cabos home at left) or hot tubs and the
amenities of an exclusive resort. The
residences come equipped with top-of-the-line
technology such as plasma TVs, iPod docking
stations, wireless high-speed Internet, and
video game entertainment centers. They’ll
even display your family photos in digital
photo frames throughout the home!
UR takes customer service seriously and
provides an onsite Ultimate Concierge who is
your local host at every destination.
Available to you 24 hours a day, the Ultimate
Concierge takes care of every detail of
your vacation, from stocking your
refrigerator and wine cellar, to booking tee
times and making reservations at the best
restaurants.
