Top Ski Destinations and Resorts in Colorado

Vail Mountain

Vail Mountain Resort is not only one of the best in Colorado but also one of the most notable in the world. For many people, this is the resort they think of when they think of skiing in Colorado. So, if you’re interested in heading to this part of the world and want to know where to ski first, this might be the resort to visit. The terrain is very varied, so you’re sure to find something for you. And its sheer size is something to behold.

Aspen, Snowmass

Aspen is one of the great towns in Colorado. Even people who aren’t interesting in skiing can have a fantastic time there. If you’re heading that way and want to do some skiing while you’re in the area, simply visit Aspen Snowmass. It’s a grouping of four smaller skiing areas. However, there is no run for beginners, so you probably shouldn’t head there if you are just starting out. It has a lot of skiing prestige, having hosted all kinds of events and celebrities.  Colorado ski timeshares in this area will be more expensive.

For skiers looking for the complete skiing experience, there aren’t many places that are going to beat Breckenridge Ski Resort. It’s the kind of place that offers it all. It has amazing alpine runs; you can explore them at your own pace too. There are tracks with trees, and the bowls at the summit are fantastic fun. It’s a rounded experience, and that’s what many people want from a resort like this, so it might be one to explore.

Beaver Creek

If you’re near Vail Mountain resort mentioned above, you might want to take the short trip down to Beaver Creek resorts too. It makes sense to experience both of these resorts at once. The atmosphere here is very welcoming, and the customer service is second to none. If you want to avoid high altitudes, this is one the one for you, as it’s not as high as the other resorts and destinations mentioned on this list.

Arapahoe Basin

Arapahoe Basin, also known as A-Basin to many of the people who ski there, is high up in the hills of Colorado. It’s this that makes it so appealing to so many of the people who go skiing there. The summit is at over 13000 feet, and that means that you can ski there throughout the year. The resort doesn’t close in summer, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this could be the resort for you. It’s a fun and relaxed place, so you don’t need to worry about not being an expert.
