The Banks family hails from Charlotte, NC, consisting of parents, children Mary Elizabeth (30), John (28), Caroline (17), and grandson Gohan (4). They are also proud pet owners of dogs Callie and Lady and cat Frank.

Since 2005, they have made it a tradition to spend summer vacations at Holden Beach, where they gather with their children and relatives every year  In 2021, they acquired a lovely house at Holden Beach, enjoying it in the cooler and summer months.

Their favorite activities at Holden Beach include golf, biking, running, wave riding, walks on the beach both in the morning and under moonlight, lounging by the pool, playing games, and cooking for everyone.  A memorable event was the 80th birthday party for Eric’s father in November 2022, where his eight siblings from across the country gathered for a surprise celebration at the Banks’ home.

They have also enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from Holden Beach Marina to explore the Intracoastal waterways to Southport and Ocean Isle Beach. Eric recently set up a small weight room in their home to add to their fitness options.
