If you’ve never been to a Hyatt Residence Club (HRC), then you are missing out on one of the most exceptional experiences vacation ownership has to offer. I love the flexibility and beautiful accommodations HRC ownership has to offer.

When I was first searching for vacation ownership, I first went to Trip Advisor to check out the reviews for many different resorts. One thing I noticed immediately was that all HRC’s resorts have excellent Trip Advisor reviews. I trust Trip Advisor because the reviews are not usually one-sided, and I get a holistic perspective of the resort through thoughtful discussion of people’s experiences.

Location, location, location

Not only do I love the Hyatt brand, but the HRC locations are some of the most desirable destinations in the country. I can book a week in Dorado, Puerto Rico one year, and the next explore Aspen, Colorado. The options allow me to explore the areas that interest me the most.

While Marriott resorts are another alternative for people looking to purchase vacation ownership, I like Hyatt’s feel and style. The Marriott resorts tend to offer more kid-friendly activities, but I’ve found that the HRC resorts’ pools, lazy rivers, and fire pits have provided plenty of opportunities for kid-friendly and family fun.

Resort life

All HRC resorts are rated 5-stars and offer the best amenities, from tiki bars on the beach to state-of-the-art fitness centers. Gorgeous lounges with sweeping fireplaces, or outdoor fire pits and giant swimming pools are just some of the many things I love about these resorts. They have designed each resort with their guests’ interests in mind. It’s a very guest-friendly atmosphere, too. All the staff are incredibly professional and accommodating.

Spread-out, relax

One of the things that set HRC resorts apart from traditional vacation-style hotels is their accommodations. Rather than a tiny hotel room with a small bathroom and multiple beds, some of the resorts have up to 4-bedroom suites, which is excellent for extended family stays.

Fully equipped gourmet kitchens and spacious living areas make these suites feel impossible to leave. I know that I particularly loved my screened-in balcony in Bonita Springs, Florida. I could sip my wine and look out over the beautiful golf course all day if I wanted to.

With the amount of space and luxury these suites offer, I felt more like I was at home than at a resort.

Pick your destination

HRC has locations in both snowy, mountain areas or warm climates with plenty of beaches. Whether you feel like skiing or swimming, you can pick which HRC resort works best for you. Unique locations such as the Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio, Texas offers an Old West experience. If you don’t feel like visiting the Alamo, you can spend the day in the 800-foot-long lazy river instead.

You can also check out one of their prime locations for skiing. HRC has resorts in four Colorado locations and one in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. For warm climates and beaches, HRC has five resorts in Florida, two in California, and one each in Puerto Rico, Texas, Arizona, and Hawaii.

Great customer service

I love HRC’s customer service experience. When I have called to request week trades or to ask questions, every customer service representative I’ve spoken with has been extremely helpful. They’ve always responded to me quickly, too, which is important.

Resale purchase

One thing I knew was not to purchase directly from a timeshare presentation. Not only can you save up to 90% from purchasing on the resale market, but you sometimes get lucky with unused points to spend.

When I purchased my resale, I discovered that there was a whole year of points that were never used, and they were all mine to spend. This gave me two extra weeks of free vacations beyond what I was expecting. By purchasing a resale, you’ll often find benefits and extra points that just aren’t available when you purchase through a timeshare presentation.

Interval International

If you decide not to trade your week for another Hyatt property, you will need to use Interval International, where there is excellent trading power. HRC locations are all elite resorts with the highest quality of stays. This means that when you exchange your unit into Interval, you are given plenty of points to use for other destinations. Typically, you can receive two to three weeks of vacation for trading just one week at an HRC location.

With Interval International, your points are good for up to two years after the week you deposit. You can book as many vacations as you have points to cover, and if you decide to book in the off-season or for a shorter stay, you can spread your points out throughout the year. HRC’s partnership with Interval International is really a treat for vacation owners.

Purchasing

You can always email us at [email protected] and we will help you search the resale market for a Hyatt Residence Club ownership.   We can find deals and provide recommendations.

Final thoughts

When it comes to the Hyatt Residence Club, I really cannot say enough about my stays at their resorts. It’s a luxury vacation with a “homey” atmosphere, and I’m never ready to leave at the end of my stay. I love the variety of locations, and the amenities offered by each resort. I never find myself wanting for anything.

I am so happy that I purchased my ownership through resale and the extra points that came with it, which I could put towards my next vacation. I also enjoy the flexibility that the partnership with Interval International allows my family and me when we’re ready to explore new destinations.
